About Word Play, LLC

Dedicated to Growth. Grounded in Compassion

Word Play was founded by Lorraine Read and Stephanie Strom, two speech-language pathologists who wanted therapy to feel personal, practical, and connected to the people they serve.

Their experience in schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics, homes, and community settings helped shape the heart of Word Play: therapy works best when it respects the whole person, not just a set of goals. That means understanding your child’s routines, relationships, strengths, challenges, and what helps them feel ready to engage.

Today, Word Play is supported by a team of caring therapists who provide speech, language, and feeding services for children and adults across Arizona. Whether therapy happens at home, online, at daycare, or in the community, our team focuses on meaningful support that fits each client’s needs and helps them build skills they can use in the moments that matter most.
